APLICABILIDADE E PROTOCOLOS CLÍNICOS DO LASER DE DIODO DE ALTA E BAIXA POTÊNCIA EM ENDODONTIA
REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Resumo
Objetivo: Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar e descrever os protocolos mais utilizados em Endodontia, do uso do Laser de diodo (DL), tanto de alta quanto de baixa potência com base em uma revisão da literatura científica. Material e Métodos: Foi realizada uma revisão da literatura a partir de artigos buscados na base de dados eletrônica PubMed. Foram incluídos estudos publicados no período de 2013 a 2023, nos idiomas inglês, espanhol e português, estudos do tipo ensaios clínicos e revisões sistemáticas, com texto integral disponível de forma gratuita. Resultados: Foram incluídos um total de cinquenta e dois artigos desses, sendo 11 deles sobre Lasers de Diodo de alta. Os estudos mostraram que são utilizados para remover tecidos duros e calcificados, descontaminar o canal radicular, tratar hipersensibilidade e realizar cirurgias endodônticas. Sobre os Lasers de baixa potência, foram englobados quarenta e um artigos que mostraram sua utilização para reduzir a inflamação, promover a regeneração tecidual e para o alívio de dor. Além disso esse tipo de Laser pode ser aplicado a terapia fotodinâmica, onde um agente fotossensibilizante é associado ao uso do laser, evidenciando células específica. Conclusão: O DL contribui para o sucesso da terapia endodôntica, tendo grande relevância para a odontologia moderna, sendo necessário o conhecimento científico, principalmente com a finalidade de aperfeiçoar os tratamentos.
